Paddle through the heart of the Vaucluse on the Sorgue, setting off from the Aqueduc, between Fontaine de Vaucluse and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The Sorgue is a fragile and protected environment — paddle calmly, in harmony with nature.

Water gets you wet… and the Sorgue is cold!

Bring clothing suited to water activities. Water shoes are compulsory. The buoyancy aid life jacket must be worn for the entire duration of the descent.

Frequently asked questions

Can my 5-year-old child come?

Children are admitted from the age of 6 fully completed. They must be able to swim 25 metres, submerge themselves and be accompanied by a responsible adult. Below this age, the activity is not permitted for safety reasons.

Clothing suited to the water (swimsuit, light clothes that dry quickly), water shoes and the buoyancy life jacket provided, to be kept on throughout the descent. The Sorgue is cold: a light woolly or a neoprene top can be useful at the start/end of the season.

No, payment is made only in cash. Holiday vouchers are, however, accepted. Remember to bring your cash before you arrive.

Yes, booking is compulsory to guarantee your place. Groups and summer days fill up fast — don’t wait until the day itself.

Picnics and fires are forbidden on the river and the banks. Moreover, the banks are private property: going ashore there is prohibited. Plan your meal for before or after the descent.
